The giraffw is the tallest animal in the world. Males can reach 19 feet, females 17 feet. The giraffe's scattered range extends from Chad in the north to South Africa in the south, Niger in the west to Somalia in the east. Giraffe's usually inhabit grasslands, savannas and open woodlands. They prefer areas with plenty of acacia trees, which is a very important food source. This giraffe was photographed in "Out of Africa" wildlife park in Camp Verde, AZ.
